31 Day Prayer Guide

SERVANT LIFE

Day 1 Vision- Father, give Bro. Aaron great wisdom and discernment as he leads Antlers First Baptist Church in the pursuit of your assignment to reach the world with the gospel message of Jesus Christ! I pray You will equip and empower him for the tremendous responsibilities You have set before him. Enable him as he leads, and remind him continually how our church can have the greatest impact on this region, the nation, and the world.

Day 2 RESPONSIBILITY- “...For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12:48). Lord, help Bro. Aaron stand strong in the call You have given him. With great gifts comes great responsibility. Help him live out Your full calling in Your strength alone.

Day 3 Christ-likeness- Lord, may Bro. Aaron imitate Christ in everything he does and inspire others to do the same (1 Corinthians 11:1). May the world see Jesus in him as he leads our church and in other areas of responsibility and leadership!

Day 4 Anointing- Lord, You have anointed Bro. Aaron to preach. I ask that You fill him with Your Spirit (Ephesians 5:18), and allow the fruit of Your Spirit to be manifested powerfully through his life (Galatians 5:22). Let him live and walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).

Day 5 Worthiness- “Wherefore also we pray always for You, that our God would count You worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness and the work of faith with power”. (2 Thessalonians 1:11). Lord, I pray this passage for Bro. Aaron. Lord, fill him and use him for Your glory.

Day 6 Humility- Keep Bro. Aaron humble. Let him boast only in the cross of Jesus (Galatians 6:14). Let him humble himself under Your mighty hand. Help him to cast all his cares on You. (1 Peter 5:6-7)

PERSONAL LIFE

Day 7 Wife- Lord, Thank You for Vonda. She truly is an example of a Proverbs 31 woman. Help Bro. Aaron to be sensitive to his family and be a role model of Godliness to them. Bless them and multiply their time together. Protect them and allow them to grow in the knowledge of You.

Day 8 Health- Bless Bro. Aaron with a healthy body, sound mind, and sensitive spirit. Grant him physical strength equal to each task You give him. As 3 John 2 states, let Bro. Aaron enjoy good health so that all may go well with him, even as his soul prospers.

Day 9 Endurance- Lord, let Bro. Aaron fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Let him run with endurance the race set before him, always keeping his eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-2). Help him to rest in You, even in the midst of a hectic schedule (Psalm 121).

Day 10 Warfare- “Be sober, be vigilant; because Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”. (1 Peter 5:8). Lord, I know Bro. Aaron will come under greater spiritual attack because of his great responsibility. I pray that You will help him to be self-controlled and alert. Give him wisdom, and protect him from any attacks from the enemy. Keep him strong and protected by Your mighty power.

Day 11 Integrity- Lord, keep Bro. Aaron holy in every area of his life (1 Peter 1:16). You are faithful. Establish him and guard him from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Keep his eyes on You as he runs the race You have given him (1 Corinthians 9:24-27).

Day 12 Encouragement- Lord, discouragement is a tool of the enemy that is often used to drag believers down. Daily remind Bro. Aaron that he is a son of the King! Don’t allow anyone to discourage him or get him down. Help him to not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season he will reap a harvest if he does not faint (Galatians 6:9). Remind him that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him (Philippians 4:13).

Day 13 Meditation- Jesus, without You we are nothing. No Christian can stand for long in a spiritual battle if he does not spend time with You. So today, I pray You will guard Bro. Aaron’s personal time with You and let nothing hinder it (Acts 6:2). Protect him from all things that could distract his devotional life. Grant him the time, desire, and place to pray, meditate, and focus on You.

Day 14 Protection-Lord, I pray that no weapon formed against Bro. Aaron will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Protect him by Your powerful right hand. Lord, I pray Psalm 91 over Bro. Aaron, asking that You will be his refuge and fortress. And according to Ephesians 6:11, help him put on Your armor, so he can stand against the wiles of the devil.

Day 15 Strength- Lord, as Bro. Aaron waits on You, renew his strength. Let him mount up with wings as eagles, that he may run and not be weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Remind him that his labor is not in vain for You. Let him be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in Your work (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Day 16 Glory- “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in You, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4). Lord, You have told us that no matter what we may face in this world, You are greater. The enemy may try to trick us or deceive us, but You, Jesus, are bigger. Remind Bro. Aaron of this truth today, and show that truth to be real in his life.

DISCERNING LIFE

Day 17 Wisdom- Heavenly Father, bless Bro. Aaron with Your supernatural wisdom as he leads the Staff to pursue Your ambition for Antlers First Baptist Church. Help him to be sensitive to their needs and lead them to grow in Godliness.

Day 18 Discernment- “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” (1 Kings 3:9). Lord, give Bro. Aaron a discerning mind and heart to prioritize the precious minutes of the day. Let him discern what is most important and be guarded against the tyranny of the urgent. Help him to have the discernment and wisdom each day to see right choices from wrong and fulfill Your will in his life every day.

Day 19 Guidance- Lord, sometimes it is hard to trust You when the path is crooked or does not make sense; yet You tell us that our understanding is limited, and we are to lean on Your wisdom rather than our own. May Bro. Aaron trust in You with all his heart, lean not on his own understanding, and acknowledge You in all his ways as You direct his path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Day 20 Insight- “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16). Lord, You have told us that Scripture is authored by You and useful for training in righteousness. I ask You to grant Bro. Aaron even deeper insight into Your Word as he studies. Bless Bro. Aaron with rich study time (Acts 6:4; 2 Timothy 2:15). Do a fresh work in Bro. Aaron’s life as he discovers again the “unsearchable riches of Christ” (Ephesians 3:8).

MINISTRY LIFE

Day 21 Future of our Church-Lord, I pray You will grant Bro. Aaron spiritual wisdom and understanding as he leads Antlers First Baptist Church. Fill him with the knowledge of Your will as he makes decisions for the future of our church and for the generations that will succeed our ministry to the world.

Day 22 CHURCH- “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” (Philemon 6). Lord, grant Bro. Aaron the wisdom to share Your Word with our Church family. Speak to Bro. Aaron as he prays, and show him exactly how to minister to those who come, giving us a deeper understanding of the blessings we have in Christ.

Day 23 Staff- Ephesians 6:18 reminds us that we should pray in the Spirit and always pray for the saints. Today, I pray specifically for the Staff of Antlers First Baptist Church. Jesus, fill them with Your strength and wisdom, so they can fulfill their calling through ministry and leadership with joy and peace. Let them minister to Bro. Aaron as he ministers to them. Thwart any attacks the enemy may plan, and prevent any division in their unity as a team.

KINGDOM LIFE

Day 24 Proclamation- As Bro. Aaron preaches, let him proclaim Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:27-28). Let him decrease that the Lord Jesus may increase (John 3:30). May his desire be to preach Jesus Christ, His crucifixion and resurrection!

Day 25 Confidence- Lord, let Bro. Aaron fear no man. Let him stand strong in the faith. May he find his strength in You. Help him and uphold him with Your righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

Day 26 Boldness- Lord, help Bro. Aaron to put his faith only in You, and not in men (Hebrews 13:6). May his desire be to preach Jesus Christ, our crucified Savior and risen Lord (1 Corinthians 1:23). May he boldly proclaim the truths of the Scriptures and the power of the cross through the platform of our church, and leadership in the community!

Day 27 The word- Your Word tells us in Isaiah 40:8 that “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” As Bro. Aaron shares Your Word and Your Truth, let him remember this passage. Let him know that whatever he may face, Your Word stands forever. Let him never forget that You have placed him here to share this truth with as many as possible.

Day 28 Salvation- “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). Jesus, I pray that many will come to know You through the ministry You have given Bro. Aaron. Lord, let Bro. Aaron communicate the truth of eternal life and forgiveness, and open the eyes, ears, and hearts of those who do not know You. Protect them from the enemy, and soften their hearts to understand and recognize their need for Jesus Christ to become their Savior and Lord.

Day 29 Kingdom- Lord, work through Bro. Aaron for Your glory by doing exceedingly, abundantly, above all that I could ask for him in prayer. Help Bro. Aaron do all things with excellence and all things to the glory of God (Ephesians 3:20).

CLOSING PRAYERS

Day 30 LEADERS- “Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.” (Hebrews 13:7). Lord, as this month of prayer draws to a close, let my prayers for Bro. Aaron continue in the months ahead. Help me to refer back to this prayer guide often throughout the year to remind me of all the specific areas of need in his life. Help me to remember him daily as he seeks to model himself after the leaders of the faith in the Bible. Today, lift him up, grant him peace, and let him feel Your love.
Day 31 Thanksgiving- Today, I give thanks for Bro. Aaron (Ephesians 1:16). Thank You, God, for putting him in this ministry, and filling him with Your wisdom. Heavenly Father, let Bro. Aaron pray without ceasing (I Thessalonians 5:17). Once again, thank You for the blessing of Bro. Aaron and Vonda in our church. Thank You for the vision of the Pastoral Staff of First Baptist Church and their Godly focus, as we have begun to partner with others to reach people with the most important message in the world – the good news of Jesus Christ.
